   Local, regional or community newspapers and magazines face crisis due to financial problems which, is outcome of problems of marketing.   
              John Meehan the ex editor of Hull Daily Mail wrote an article in ‘What do we mean by Local?’(Edited by John Mair, Neil Fowler and Ian Reeves). In the said auricles John advised local/regional/community newspapers/magazines to reverse the crisis faced by them.
  John persuades that local/regional/community newspapers/magazines should focus on the real matters.
  John Meehan advised that the local/regional/community periodicals should always be in search of cheaper ways of printing and distribution.
  Meehan advocates that small local, regional or community dailies should be converted into weekly newspaper or magazines.  This will provide regional/local/community dailies become commercially healthy.
 According to Meehan, Regional, community or local newspapers/magazines should adapt web technology and should get benefits from Internet marketing.
 Local, regional or community newspapers/magazines should always become the trusted voice of community or region.
Regional, local or community periodicals or newspapers/magazines should also adore the commercial mentality too.
Regional, local or community periodical –newspaper or magazines should find a commercial or content collaborator for various aspects of marketing.
Regional media, local or community newspapers and magazines should always make big noise and should become cheerleaders for the community, locality or region.

Sisuan a Kumauni poem- The Kumauni poem by ‘Jigyasu’ (Akashvani, Lucknow) is about the diminishing various beneficial plants from Kumaun and Garhwal.
Chithi aayi ganv bati – The Satirical Garhwali poem by Netra Singh Aswal is about worsening position of villages from human development aspects.
