Bhishma Kukreti is one of the signatures of developing modern Garhwali Stories. Abodh Bandhu states that he brings newer subject in the modern Garhwali story world. ‘Data ki Bwari Kan Dukhyari (Hilans, August, 1983) by Kukreti is about Data gets married and he had to leave her wife immediately as he has to join his duty in Lucknow. Garhwali phrases used in this woman psychological story accelerate the story and create images of rural Garhwal.
