                       Arjun Singh Gusain criticized Animal Sacrifice in Religious Rituals

    Providing a few examples of religious animal sacrifices in Garhwal, Arjun Singh Gusain criticized animal sacrifices in religious rituals.  Gusain was of opinion that we should follow the preaching of swami Mamnmanth and appreciated the activities of Swami Manmanth in stopping mass killings of buffalo. Arjun Singh Gusain requested intellectuals to create awareness against religious animal sacrifice.

Dr Mahaveer Prasad Gairola speaks about value of relationship in Garhwali poem ‘Natu badu raundu’.

The Kumauni poem by Mathura datt Mathpal is fine example of modern Kumauni poetry.

Dr Ramesh Cahndra pant provides the examples of depicting geographical nature in Kumaun folk literature in his brilliant write up ‘Kumauni Lok jeewan me Prakriti ka Mahtv’. Dr Pant provides six Kumauni folk songs in support of his theme.

The Garhwali poem by Sudama Prasad Premi is philosophical poem.
