Arjun Singh Gusain Supported Horticulture and Forest as strong Alternate of Conventional Agriculture
Editor of Hilans Arjun Singh Gusain was a future reader. In Hilans (March 1988), Gusain published the article of Chandra Shekhar Tiwari and Arun khuksal in the editorial column. In editorial ‘Pahado ki Simtati Kheti ka Vikalp: Bagwani aur jangal’ , the duo authors provide the reasons for diminishing agriculture in hills of Uttarakhand and provide the horticulture and forest as alternates of conventional agriculture. The writers proved that horticulture is commercially more beneficial to the people of hills of Uttarakhand. Khuksal and Tiwari provide the areas and fruits suitable for plantation in the particular area.
