Arjun Singh Gusain the editor of Hilans and a separate Uttarakhand state movement activist was not limited to editorial job and his own profession but he was well aware about the contributory capabilities of Non Resident Uttarakhandis.
In Hilasn’s June-July 1985 issue of Hilans he requested Non Resident Uttarakhandis to contribute in the development of rural Uttarakhand through various ways and means. Arjun Singh always used to inspire Non Resident Uttarakhandis to open new business in Uttarakhand and to arrange agriculture works there.
