Rukma
and Raghuveer are from the same Garhwali village. The village is an average
village- a small village. The untold and strict rule is that a girl is sister
of a boy -never mind the different caste. The rules are created by society and
the rules of our human body are created by god or nature. There is always
attraction from a male body towards female body. Rukma and Raghuveer fell in
love. However, the village rule won the battle between love and culture. The love
between Rukma and Raghuveer finished when both marry to other mates.
Now, both were
parents of well grown children. Is it possible to create a new relationship
between two old lovers? The story discusses the point of village rules and new
changing aspects of society.
A story writer foresees
the future too. Durga Prasad brings the tedious subject of love between boy and
girl of a same village before 1981. The story takes the readers finding
differences among three generations. Reader is also tensed in finding the real
solution to know the meaning of relationship- relationship of village norms and
relationship by emotions. The story writer Ghildiyal expertly portrays romance,
love and the meaning of love. There is
space for readers to think after finishing the story.
