Kali Prasad (Kishor) Ghildiyal is famous name for developing Garhwali modern fiction, poetry and drama literature. His elder brother late Durga Prasad Ghildiyal is a famous Garhwali fiction writer. Kali Prasad Ghildiyal was born in village Padlyun, Katalsyun, Pauri Garhwali in 1930. Kali Prasad lives in NOIDA.
Apart from his immense contribution in Garhwali fiction, Kali Prasad wrote three Garhwali plays -duno Janam, Keedu bwe and Rag Thag. According to Parashar Gaur, all three plays of Ghildiyal were staged in Sarojani Nagar Community hall, Delhi.
Keedu bwe- the drama is about a village widow looking after her son, taking all pain in his higher education. However, the son after marriage and getting good respectable job ignores his mother. The mother dies in pain for remembering her son for whom she did sacrifice.
Duno Janam: Duno Janam drama is about the problem of untouchability and the crookedness in village councils, and government administration.
Rag Thug: Rag Thug is about childless husband and wife taking care of a notorious child and marrying him. When the boy get married the woman delivers a child too. The theme is that God provides justice in time.
