Bahuguna took various subject and style for his Garhwali stories. In Parivartan story, he takes the subject of Savarn and Harijan. Jithi ma (Savarn Class) adopts Duanni a Harijan girl as her daughter. Such subject was very controversial before sixties. Bahuguna takes the reads in the past about the different attitude and discrimination towards different classes in Garhwali society.
