There are a couple of story writers who wrote mini short stories in Garhwali as Puran Panth ‘Pathik’ Parashar Gaur and Chinmay Sayar. However, Bahuguna leads the mini short story Garhwali literature.
There are twelve mini short stories in ‘Katha Kumud’ collection. There are two types of mini short stories by Abodh Bandhu Bahguna
1-Literary mini short stories- Ghoos, Veer rasai Kavita, Bhato teend, Chhutkaro, Virana Babu, Kmai, Dainkan. Dr. Anil Dabral claims that Dainkan is one of the marvelous literary stories of modern Garhwali language. Most of the mini short literary stories are the depiction of daily life or there are real life in literary mini stories by Bahuguna
2-Inspirational –Apni Jyan, Jeewan Moha, Svad, Chhipade kudi
Bahuguna depicts the distress of life of Garhwalis in used literary stories and there are spiritual or philosophical stories in inspirational mini short stories. There is influence of folk stories or Hitpadesh in his inspirational mini short stories.
