Sunpat: an Ironic and Witty Short Garhwali Drama

(Review of Very short Garhwali Drama ‘Sunpat’ (2002) written by Playwright Kula Nand Ghansala)

                Dr. Gauniyal, Bhishma Kukreti, Om Prakash Semwal wrote short dramas those are useful as fillers in a cultural program or any other functions. However, Kula Nand Ghansala and Om Prakash Semwal dramas wrote and staged more short dramas in Garhwali than all.  

          ‘Sunpat’ is very entertaining short drama s filler. An old man (bada) is semi deaf and postman brings money order for him. Postman asks the old man question g but old man answers differently and each answer of the old man has two meanings. Both the meanings are humorous and ironical .The answers create satire and laughter together. The questions and comments of post man also create laughter.

   The drama is very entertaining and definitely humorous.
