                Hastagiri organization presented and staged the ‘Meri Paili Chori’ a Hilarious and Satirical Garhwali Drama written by Playwright Harish Thapliyal in 1989 in Shanmukhanand Hall, Mumbai.

                 The drama is about that there is theft in house.  People start coming to the house owner and ask relevant and ridiculous questions. People also start providing various suggestions to stop the future theft.  The whole attention of villages is towards the owner and is continued for days. The house becomes the stage for fair (Khaul-Myala).

           The house owner wants to get rid of ridiculous questions, sympathy and suggestions by the people. The house owner takes a decision that is very risky and can harm the owner vary badly. Does the house owner become successful in implementing his plan?   

   Harish Thapliyal (native, Ratuda, Rudraprayag) is a Hindi playwright, stage activist, film and TV artist. He came in Garhwali dramatic field due to joining Uttarakhand Chhatra Sangh, Mumbai. He was happy that the audience laughed many ties while watching the drama. Thapliyal is sad that the drama culture could not be created in Garhwali-Kumauni due to various reasons.
