                Garhwal and Kumaun are facing one of the biggest social problems of alcoholism among all ages especially among youth. Therefore, there are aware literatures creative are creating literature for public awareness against alcohol consumption.

    Famous Garhwali and Hindi poet Dr Narendra Gauniyal published a drama/theatre/play against alcohol consumption in Dhad (January 1991). The drama deals about way a person becomes alcoholic and does not care for his honor, for his family needs, for his own health.

      One day a regular alcohol taker finds that his son has been consuming alcohol at ease. The person goes into shock.

  The mini dram is capable for public awareness against alcohol consumption.
