Uttarakhand jan Sanskriti manch, Gair Sain staged and presented a short
Garhwali drama ‘Mero Nati ‘ on 26th April 1989 in
Gairsain. Govind Kapriyal wrote the
drama. The drama shows that instead of taking the help of proper medical practitioners
people take help of Mantrik-Tantric and lose the beloved ones. In this drama, a child becomes ill and family
members do not visit to doctor but do treatment from Mantrik and tantric. In this
way the end is pathetic.
Mathur Dev Arya provided background music. I.P.
Uniyal States that the drama Mero Nati ‘criticizes the blind faith and its
bad effects very sharply and loudly.
