  Dr. Dinesh Chandra Baluni is one of the prolific historians of Uttarakhand culture and folk literature.

            Dr. Dinesh was born in 1952 of Chhoti Bagi village, Ajmir Patti of Lansdowne Tehsil, Pauri Garhwal. Baluni took his primary education from Ajmir region. Dr. Dinesh Chandra Baluni passed M.A four times in four subjects Sociology, Economics, History and Political science. Dinesh got Ph.D. degree from Ruhelkhand University.

                    Dr. Dinesh Chandra is diploma holder in Bengali language too. Dr, Baluni is teacher by profession.
