  There are every type of Garhwali folk songs. The following folk song depicts filthy or clumsy work by a woman. The learned scholar Dr. Dinesh Chamola states that he is sure that such characterization is not seen in other language folk song.

    कुमाऊं, गढ़वाल ,हरिद्वार के  लोक गीत  -295           
   
                      लोक गीतों में फूहड़ स्त्री चित्रण

कबि खांद पकौंद जुवाँ मारदी,दुई हाथुं मुंड कन्याणि च वा।

फिर मैलि सी चालि माँ भात धरी
 पदणि च , सिंगाणु चुवाणि च वा,खुखला पर नौनु वखि हगणु वखि भातै थाळि  सजौणि च वा।
छन  रुटि माँ जैंकी माख बिलक्याँ दुई  हाथुन गात कन्याणि च वा।
छन भात मा बाळ, रुटि मा बाळ,त दाळि मा लाळ चुवाणि च वा।   

While cooking she kills louse

While cooking she scratches head hair

While rice cooking she uses dusty vessel

While cooking she makes false gas, and slavers

While cooking she holds her son who is littering

At this stage she offers food on plate

There are fly on bread

While cooking she scratches her body both the hands

The dal and bread are full of hair

She slavers salvia into Dal
