Rajendra Prasad Kotnala: A Garhwali Satirical Poet and Spiritual Verses maker

                 Rajendra Prasad Kotnala is versatile Garhwali language writer.

        Rajendra Prasad Kotnala was born in Rauta village, Bichla Badalpur, Pauri Garhwal on 13^th May 1944.

                      After passing his M.A degree, Kotnala got diploma of DPM. Rajendra Prasad joined army for his livelihood.  Rajendra Kotnala is an active social organizer. He is one of the founder members of Uttarakhand Purv Sainik and Ardh Sainik Sangharsh samiti. Rajendra Prasad took active part in separate Uttarakhand movement.

          He wrote and published Garhwali language stories, poems and verses.

 Ram Prasad writes satirical and religious Garhwali poem with ease.

 Kotnala uses Garhwali symbols for creating humor and satire as the example is -

राम प्रसाद कोटनाला की  व्यंग्य कविता

दादा हुयुं छाई हरान कुर्स्यळी जनि मुखड़ी

मोर जनि नाड़ी

भैर हलणु छाई

खिरबोज कु दाणु जनु पुटगु

बौ दिखेणी छै पर्या जनि

नौनि जन सरकंडा

नौनु गिंदड़ु बण्यो छायो

 Famous Garhwali literature activist Lokesh Navani appreciates the poems of Kotnala for his using figure of speeches and similes.
