           The Garhwal and Kumaon region is the land of Army men. When the army men are holidaying in their home village and there is war with neighboring enemy country the Garhwali-Kumaoni army men had to cancelling holiday and return to their head quarter in border place.

    The following folk song illustrates the regional disturbance in North East Frontier Area and army deployment there.

 The folk song also discusses the pain of wife of army man going to joining duty in disturbed region.

 The folk song discusses the death and life as sides of a coin for an army man.

जाण जरूर बेकारै रुण

In the above folk song, the army man provides sympathy and encouragement o his wife too.

The folk song shows that   Garhwali-Kumaoni folk creators have sharp eyes on every aspect of life.
