                     Dr Achla Nand Jakhmola is one of the great linguistic scholars of Hindi and Garhwali. Dr. Achla Nand Jakhmola is said to be dictionary expert.

            Dr. Achla Nand Jakhmola was born in Gatkot village, Malla Dhangu, Pauri Garhwal in 1934. Gatkot village is famous for producing great teachers.

    Dr. Jakhmola got education from Gatkot, Silogi, Dehradun and Allahabad. After passing his MA degree he got D.Phil in 1961. Achla Nand is having diploma in Russian language and management. Dr Jakhmola has full knowledge of Sanskrit and Arabic languages.

 Initially he joined teaching profession. Later on he was selected in Sales Tax department of Uttar Pradesh. Then he joined Army and retired as Lt Colonel from Indian Army.  He is well travelled personally and travelled Europe.

Dr. Jakhmola has credits for publishing tens of articles on languages and dictionary creation.  His books are published following book –
