 At the initial eight years of Shahajpal rule in Garhwal, there was Sher Shah Suri dynasty rule in Delhi.  Islam Shah the capable son of Sher Shah expired in 1553.

 Muhammad Shah Badali ruled till 1557. Humayun captured Delhi just before the death of Abdali. The heirs and succssors of Sher Shah had fierce infighting among themselves.

At this time whole of North India suffered many adverseries as drought, loss in agro produces etc. There were social disturbances too. There was crucial famine too and it is said that human ate human flesh.

 Humayun died on 24^th January 1556. His son Akbar was a teen young of fourteen years old. Akbar did manage rule well with the help of his Guardian Bairam Khan. Akbar was wise in recognizing the talented person. He was not hard core religious Muslim ruler but was secular.
