Local Name – Safed Musli, Safed Moosli
Hindi Name –Safed Musli, Safed Moosli
Sanskrit Name –Mushali
Medical uses- Roots are used as sex tonic
Food Uses – Leaves are cooked for vegetables
Myths, Religious Importance and Traditions
Safed Musli/Moosli/Musali is used in Rahu Shanti Rituals. Astrologers advice that the effected person by Rahu Grah should take bath with mixer of Bala, Kuth, Nagmotha, Sarson, Laja, Lodh Devdar and Musli for eight Tuesday for downing or ending the Rahu’s negative effects.
Karmkandi Pundit also use Musli in Devi Pujan.
