                  There are four different lists available for Garhwal Kings. All lists cover same Kings after Man Shah (Manshah). There is a name Duleramshah that name is listed in Maulram and Almora Lists.  Duleram Shah is not mentioned in other two lists. Jahangirnama mentioned the Jagirdar of Shrinagar as Shyamsingh. That means till then Garhwal kings were using Singh or Pal at the end of their names.  

          Maularam in ‘Gadhrajvanshkavya’ described a couple of incidents about Shyam Shah. According to Bhaunpal folklore, there would be hurdle free Kingdom till fifty second Kings. According to Maularam, Shyamshah was fifty second Kings in Pal dynasty.

                                 History aspects of Long Plague Epidemic in North India

                 In 1616, Plague started in Punjab. Then Plague spread over through all North India. Hindus died more than Muslim as their population was more. Thousands of people died of Plague. Plague was there in North India, Gujarat, and Khandes for eight years and Kashmir was more affected. That means Garhwal and Kumaon were also affected by Plague. However, less historical account is available about Plague in Kumaon and Garhwal.

 There are many folk stories among villagers of Garhwal about families leaving their native village due to epidemic and plague too. There is one folk story among Kukretis of Jaspur (Malla Dhangu, South Pauri Garhwal) that a couple of Kukreti families left Jaspur because of epidemic.

                   There was great Famine in India in Jahangir period. It might have happen that people from plains migrated to Garhwal due to shortage of food in plains of India.
