          Bhuwaneshwari temple is in Brahmkut hills near Neelkanth temple (Udaipur Patti, Pauri Garhwal). There is a two and half feet high sculpture of mother Bhuwaneshwari. Bhuwaneshwari is worshipped here as Lal Bajrangi form. The exclusivity of the Bhuvaneshwari temple is   that Rawat (Rajput) family of Kheda (Udaipur Patti manages the temple rituals.

          The story goes that when lord Shiva gulp Poison (at the time of Ocean churning) and kept it stayed at his neck he felt the poisonous effect of the Visha. Lord Shiva came to calm down the poison effect at Manikut hills –Neelkanth (configuring place of Madhumati and Chandrabhaga Rivers) and started performing Concentration (Tapsya). His wife Sati came in search of her husband Shiva there. She saw that Lord Shiva is concentrating. Sati started performing Tapsya at nearby hill Brahmkut hill. Due to Tapsya performance by Sati the place is called Sidh Peeth.  

              Later on, the devotees built a temple of Bhuvaneshwari here.
