Natyashastra commentator Abhinava Gupa defines Mithyadhyavasay Laksana or Wrong Perception Characteristic Mark that when in place of a nonexistent object is described as it happened or somebody takes nonexistent object for certain similar object is called the instance of Mithyadhyavasay Laksana or Wrong Perception Characteristic Mark in a drama.

नाटक में मिथ्याध्यवसाय लक्षण की परिभाषा
न घटी घटना को घटित घटना जैसे बतलाना अथवा न घटित घटना को घटित घटना समझने को मिथ्याध्यवसाय कहा जाता है।
वादी लोक नाटक जिसमे गपोड़ी गप मारते हैं से लिया गया एक उदाहरण -
एक गपोड़ी - मीन अपण खुटक काण्ड भैर गाडणो बान पैल गैंतिन खत्यायी , फिर सब्बळ चलाई अर बिल्चान मांश भैर कार , तब जैक कांड ....
