Sanskrit Name –Hrishtha, Rishtah
Medical uses- Used in producing medicines for cough, skin diseases, indigestion , inducing abortion, boils, scorpion bites, impotency medicines etc.
Household uses - Shampoo, washing and cleaning, for topping hair losses
Furniture, Agriculture Instruments, wood etc.-fue
Used in children game as Gucchi -
Myths, Religious Importance and Traditions
Kanya Rashi and Hasta nakshatra are masters of Reetha or washnut. Therefore, astrologers use Reetha/Ritha/washnuts for satisfying Kanya rashi and hast nakshatra .
In Sanatan Tantra rituals, priests uses Reetha, garlics, mustard for Havna/homa inShri Kartviryaarjun Mantra Prayog for desire attainment.
