Hindi Name – Nagkesar
Sanskrit Name –Nagpushpa, nagkesar
Medical uses- Medicines by Nagkesar are used in bleeding disorders as Piles, Menorrhagia, Uterine Bleeding , Epistaxis etc
Spices -used as spices too
Decoration – Ornamental plant
Myths, Religious Uses and Traditions
According to Hindu astrology, Nagkesar is plant of Ashlesha Nakshatra. Astrologers suggest ritual performance for Nagkeshar plant for satisfying effects of Ashlesha nakshatra.
Tantrics also suggest to put Nagkesar seed with other items in a muslin bag ( Tabiz) and put on hand or neck for wealth and prosperity
