Local Name –Falinda, Falindu , Jamin, Jamun

Hindi Name – Jamun

Sanskrit Name – Jambu

Medical uses- Parts used in Strengthening tooth and gum;  used in curing diabetes, diarrhea, indigestion etc. 

Furniture, Agriculture Instruments, wood etc.-Fuel

Food Uses – Edible Fruits

                   Myths, Religious Uses  and Traditions

 Java plum is related to Rohani Nakshatra and astrologers suggest for planting Jamun tree if the person is affected by Rohani  Rashicursing.

     In case the tenth house of birth place is weak of a person , Astrologers also suggest to put  Jamun root in a small bag and either tie on hand or neck on Sunday  at Jeshthya, Pushya or Revati  Nakshatra.
