Hindi Name –Mahwa, Mahua

Sanskrit Name – Guda Pushpa

Medical uses-Used as medicines in skin , boils, hiccup, cough , impotency , debility etc.

Furniture, Agriculture Instruments,- Each part of Mahua is useful for human beings.as  fodders, wood, fertilizers by products of oil extraction,  etc.

Food Uses – Making vegetable butter, fat, alcohol, sweetening agent from flowers, syrup etc.

                   Myths, Religious Uses and Traditions

    According to Hindu Astrology, Mahuwa, Mahua tree is representative of Revati nakshatra.

  Astrologers suggest for writing Swastika symbol on g Mahua leave and to keep in pocket for tension relief.

 Astrologers also suggest to write Swastika symbol on Mahua twig  and to keep it in Tijori/safe for prosperity.
