. People from grazing regions used to worship deities for protecting animals from falling in valleys and wild animals.
Bhotiyas of Bhotiya region used worshipping ‘Gabla’ deity for snow and storm protection. Bhotiyas used to worship ‘Gharmua’ deity for suitable weather. Bhotiyas used to worship ‘Runa’ and ‘Sanee’ deities for knowing the lost animals. People used to have faith on ‘Sidwa’ Bidwa’ ‘Chan’’Lhamsal’ Falan’ for animal protection too.
In Soth Garhwal, people used have a ritual’ Badhan’ after buffalo or cow delivering offspring In Bhabhar , pople used to worship Siddh baba and ‘Chamu’ for animal protection and productivity.
