                Sanjay Sundariyal is praised for using figurative language in his Garhwali language poems.
Born on 13th Novemebr 1979, in a Himalayan village Churedgaon (Chaundkot) of Pauri Garhwal, Sanjay Sundariyal is a science graduate.
                    Sanjay Sundariyal not only contributed to Garhwali poetic field but Sanjay also have been in editorial board of twenty years old Garhwali magazine ’Chitthi-Patri’ . Varioues ways,Sanjay Sundariyal helped Madan Duklan the managing editor of Chitthi Patri.

              Sanjay Sundriyal  wrote less numbers of poems but his poems are promising poems of effective poet. Sanjay is famous for using figurative language in creating Garhwali language poetries as :

Dhunga swana sweenaun ka 
Beeda kungali ganyun ka 
Apnas ka laplpa matan
Damdamo pau dhairee/myara Uttarakhand

Sanjay also wrote poetries on sorrow phase of diminishing old arts, customs, gourmets and culture from rural Garhwal :

Arson ku pak
Fwadon bhat
Dakya dhungla
Kandali-badi swad
…
Dalyun ka chhail
Jaidyun ku pani
Hyaram ab Kakhvai

वे ग्वारा मन मा

स्वांग दुन्या के देखी 

किलै हूंदी औळ बौळ 

जाणि ले तु बींगी जा 

सौंजड्या तेरु रूप दुःख -दलेदर 

तिडीं ग्ल्वड़ि अर हलकदी बाली 

कुतरण्या लारों मा सुवांदी छ। 

तेरा जिंड्या लटल्यूं मा 

अळझ्याँ छन रिश्ता नाता 

कखरळयूं पसीनै बास 

छळे देंद कस्तूरी थैं। 

आड़ा ब्याड़ा झुलड़ा

हथगुळो का चिरखा 

अर बगत्यड़याँ हथ खुटा 

आकार देंदी मन्था थैं। 

पितम्वरी मुखड़ी को सकळोपन 

लाल उणीन्दी आंख्यूं का स्वीणा 

नि करदा स्याणी -गाणी 

बस टुप सियां रन्दन 

तेरी काळी गति का प्याट 

लुक्यां वे ग्वारा मन मा।
