              The most prominent forest products were bamboos. Bamboos were contributing 50% forest revenues of Ganga division .  Bamboo forest of Gohari range was spread in large area. Gohari forest range was easily approachable. Therefore, there was sizable demand for Bamboo from Gohari range. Woods were flown through Ganga easily at cheap cost. There was demand for Sal, Shisam trees but those forests were already destroyed. Government constructed roads inside Ganga Division forests too.

   Road going through Ganga –Kotalidun –Saneh to Nazibabad and railway transport from Kotdwara were suitable transport medium. Delhi and Meerut traders were major wood buyers. The main depos for Garhwal forest produces were in Haridwar and Saneh. Nazibabad was also trading centre for Garhwal forest wood and Rurki was major consuming center for wood using in government factories.

       Government relaxed rules in Garhwal for villagers using forests. Garhwalis used to graze heir cattles in reserved forests and could take dry wood , branches felled on the ground. Villagers also used trees for their agriculture appliances making.
