In every language, there are poems about love- happiness due to union and sorrow/sad poems due to disunion or loss of love.
Modern Garhwali poetry is fortunate to have both types of love poems that is happy love poems and sorrowful poems about to loss of love
People or readers like sad poems about pain due to separation of lovers; sorrowfulness because of parting of lovers; grief because of disunion of lovers. The basic point is that the sad poems (disunion love) communicate ones’ melancholy feelings and also creates the mirror image of thinking by readers. Usually, effective poets use intense emotions or felling and thus attract the inner feelings of readers. The intense poems regarding loss of love also create tranquility in the mind of readers.
The following poem by great Garhwali poet Chandra Mohan Raturi of early age (1906) is a sad poem due to loss of love/sorrow due to separation. The great Garhwali poet of early age (1906) uses images to describe his sorrow due to loss of love or due to separation from lovers

O! My love! Listen from the day, I am separated from you neither I am happy in day nor I get sleep in the night.
The objectives those provide happiness provide me sorrow too.
The sky is full of marvelous stars but for me there is nobody to see.
Oh! Disunion! Either you die or may I die.
Oh! Disunion! Why are you burning me /providing pain to me in this charming/beautiful/attractive season.
I am looking /waiting unnecessarily for my love on the path of forest, the path of water source, path of work place.
The waiting, for my love for so long, created acute sadness, grief; sorrow; unhappiness; misery; depression; wretchedness; melancholy; gloom; in my life.
