              To take an auspicious bath is mandatory in Hindu marriage. Gaura Devi also takes auspicious bath before marriage. The following folk song narrates all the necessary rituals at the time of bride taking auspicious bath.

बर्मा कु च्यालो बेद पढ़ोलू

न्यूती के ल्यावा तिलबाड़ी का तील

न्यूती के ल्यावा जौबाड़ी का जौ

न्यूती के ल्यावा जौ सार्य़ा का जौ

न्यूती के ल्यावा ऐरवाऴया च्येली

गौरा को खळका बैठाला जी

गौरा को खळकु नायेणु

ल्यो मेरी जिया तांबा की रै बारी

ल्यो मेरी जिया तातु तत्वाणी

ल्यो मेरी जिया स्योळु पाणी

गौरा इसूर को खळकु अस्नान

डांडा लै कुयेड़ी सर्ग लै बादल

कख बिटे आया पाणि का बूँद

अब ह्वे गे खळकु अस्नान जी

गौरा को खळकु नायेणु जी

अब ल्यावा बराई लाणु

अब ल्यावा बार पैरावा जी

को द्योउ खळका द्यों

इसुर खळका बैठालो द्यो

न्यूती लीयाया बामण को च्येलो

बरमा को च्येलो खळका करलो

बरमा को च्येलो बान द्योलु

न्यूती के मंगाया न्यूती के मंगाया

एरवाल्या च्येली

एरवाल्या च्येली मंगल लगाली

 

 

गौरा का मंगल स्नान

सभी औरतें मंगल गीत गा रही हैं --

 

 

रिसासु में मंगल स्नान होगा

गौरा जी का मंगल स्नान होगा

सिद्ध गणेश को निमंत्रण भेजा जाएगा

बर्मा जी के शिष्य को निमंत्रण भेजा जाएगा

वर्मा जी का शिष्य वेदपाठ करेगा

तिल्वाड़ी से तिल मंगाए जायेंगे

जौबाड़ी से जौ मंगाए जायेंगे

जौ साड़ी से हरे जौ के पौधे मंगाए जायेंगे

मंगळेरी की चेली को निमंत्रण भेजा जाएगा

गौरा को स्नान हेतु चौकी पर बिठाया जाएगा

ताम्बे की बर्तन में स्नान हो रहा है

गर्म पानी से स्नान हो रहा है

ठंडे पानी से स्नान हो रहा है

गौरा व इश्वर का स्नान हो रहा है

इसी समय पर्वत कुहरा लेकर आये हैं , इसी समय आकश बादल ले आये हैं

गौरा जी को ब्योली के वस्त्र पहनावों

दिया जलावो

इश्वर को भी स्थान पर बिठावो

ब्राह्मण के शिष्य को निमंत्रण दो

ब्राह्मण का शिष्य मंगल स्नान के बाद मन्त्र पढ़ेगा

ब्रह्मा का शिष्य बाने देगा

मंगळेरी की चेली मांगळ गीत गायेगी

Pl invite auspicious singers

Gaura is sitting on the bath chauki

Gaura would take auspicious bath

The water is in copper vessel

There is warm water

There is cold water

The hills bring fog

The sky brings cloud

The auspicious bath is over

Now take dress for bride Gaura

The disciple of Brahman will chant rituals

The disciple of Brahma will perform Khlka

The disciple of Brahma will perform ban

The woman will sing auspicious songs
