          Shanti Prakash was born on 22^nd February 1966 in Kothar village of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.  A Post Graduate in Geography, Shanti Prakash ‘Jigyasu’ has been connected with Dhad a language development movement for many years. Shanti Prakash ‘Jigyasu’ has been relaying his poems through All India radio and Doordarshan.

   Shanti Prakash ‘Jigyasu’ edited a poetry collection ‘Uttarakhand ki Lokbhashaon ki Chinta’.

  Shanti Prakash ‘Jigyasu’ published two Garhwali poetry collections – As (2010) and Ek Dabal (2012).

 Critics appreciated both the poetry collections for subjects, styles, symbols and images.

 Shanti Prakash ‘Jigyasu’ is called expert of creating small poems (Chhitga).  Chhitga by Shanti Prakash ‘Jigyasu’ are very sharp in criticizing the wrongs. His poems are more of emotional nature.

   डाळु लु जु एक दें लगे द्या तुम  

त डाळा  क्या

छोटू बि तुमारु

बडू बि तुमारु 

घैणि  हर्याळी तुमरी

हर्याँ पट्टा तुमरा 

रंगीला फूल बि तुमरा

सादा फूल  बि तुमरा 

 झपन्यळू     छैलू बि तुमरू 

रौन्तेळी   हव्वा  त्तुमरी

खडू च शोभा तुमरी

डाळा  क्या 

काटी बि  देल्या

त लखडा बि तुमरा

प्यार करण वळु कैकु बुरु नि सोच सकदू 

आंसू अपड़ा बगै  सकदू कैका डेख नि सकदू

२-घ्यू

द्वी रूप्या  सेर घ्यू खै अब सौ रूप्या कु भी नी च

खाण वळा आज भी छन पर ऊ घ्यू नी च .

३- सारु

कैकु तै तुमारो नौ कु सारु नी च

मंगदरा तै आग क्या खारु नी च

४- सौतेलु

आज जाणी  मिन सौतेलु कन हूंद

बुबाई जगा छोडि बिस्वम कूड़ी बणान्द  

५- पंछी 

पंछ्युंन  ऊन घरूं ऐकी क्या कन्न

जौं घरूं बैठणु चौक नि छन

६- भूख

इन लगणु यू कळजुगौ आख़री रूप च

अपड़ा फैदा तै फंसाण कै निठुरो की भूख च .

७- पता च

तिन हूण अबि और बडू त्वे पता च

वां का  बाद  तिन मै मा आण मै पता च

  १-   घास

घासक फंचू मुंडमा देखी

  मै थै पहाडै याद ऐगी

इख भी घास मुंडमा ल्याण छौ

त मेरा पहाड़म  क्या कमी रैगी

२- बक्त

क्वी मोर बि जौ

अपडु वक्त खराब हूण नि चैन्द  

कै कु नुकसान हो त हो

हम थै फैदा  हूण चैन्द.
