   Though, Omprakash is Physics teacher but by heart, he is very tender and creates various types of Garhwali poetries. His subject varies from the pain of a Garhwali woman of Garhwal to natural beauty of rural Garhwal. Simplicity is his way of narrating poems but keeps a mystery too.

  His subjects fo poems are mainly philosophy, nature, images, love, wrong happenings in the society, administration and cultural. 
 Twee, aige samo, Vasant, Bhol, Pahadai Nari, Baudik Aijai, Nayo saal are his reprehensive poems in Garhwali language

Place: Village-Darmwadee, Rudra Prayag
Education: M.Sc. (Physics), B Ed
Writing: Published poems, articles, stories, lyrics in Garhwali in many local periodicals.
             A book of Garhwali poems based on Man Bhagwati Nada , “Kalsudee” /Kalsuri is published 

    Om Prakash Semwal published two Garhwali short story collections too.

Om Prakash Semwal  is a famous literature movement activist of Rudraprayag.

Om Prakash Semwal created dozens of dramas in Garhwali. 
Singer: He is also famous singer and released an audio cassette of Falasi Devi is available in market and this cassette became a rage when it was released.
Profession: Physics lecturer in Inter College, Chopta -Jakhani, Rudra Prayag

माछा पकड़ माछा पकड़ डौंका------------------

ये डांडा रिक्ख लग्यूं वै डांडा बाघ
तेरा गौं बंदरों डौर मेरा गौं मा स्याळ
रौल्यूं सुंगूर सौला बैठ्यां छां दोब
जै की च पौंछ राजा तलक वैकि मौज
माछा पकड़ माछा पकड़ डौंका--------
हाल बुरा छिन हमरा गौं का-------------
कुकुरु मूं कबास यख बंदरों मूं नर्यूळ
आम टटमरा ह्वयां तिमला नी पक्यूळ
तौंकि पुंगड़्यों कूल हमरि रूड़ च पड़ीं 
सरकारि खजनै कि बांठि छिन बणी-----------
महलों अजगर हमरा भितरों छिन गुरौ
सूखु पड़ी संगति दिदा अब त ना झुरौ
गाजि-पाति मनखि डाळा ब्वटळा थूसणा
क्वे भक्वर्दा आम हमुतैं ढेला चुसौणा----------
लोखों नि बरगलौंदा लोण तेल पुगौंदा
खालि अपड़ि नी कबरि हमरि हमरि बी स्वचदा
हमुन ल्वे बगै त तुमुन सोची रंग च
तुम पर त चढ़्यूं सदानि राजरंग च-------------
कबरि हम सणी बि राज भाषा बिंगौंदा
शिकार तुमू खांदा हमुतैं बास सुंघौंदा
दिन हमरा बि ठ्यलेणा छिन सस्ये सस्येक
चुनौं का बगत छां ठाठ दिन द्वियेक ------------
अब त ना तिबार सजीं खोळि चमकणी
सल्यों कि कळजुग मा क्वैई गिण्ति नी
म्वारा रिटदा खंद्वरों रोंदा सौत बणदै नी
चकड़ेतों अड्यौण वळों का पसिना छूटीनी--------

हे राम फिर ले जनम !

त्रेता मा एकी तबै मारि सकि छौ तिन रावण हे श्रीराम 
जख देखा रावणै रावण भौत ये कळजुग हे श्रीराम
बणौ फेर पलटण सजौ सेना हनुमान सुग्रीव हे श्रीराम
जु छन बैरि दुष्ट समाजा सिखौ तौं सबक मार हे श्रीराम

बाल्मीकि छा कुटिल अभागी,
ज्वानि तलक कवि हृदय नि जागी।
जनि सुमिरे दिवा राम को बाळी,
"रामायण"अद्भुत रंचि डाळी।।
