The modern Garhwali short story
‘Bahadur Sipai ‘ by Dr Asha Rawat is about
discussion on the role of armed forces and the rural women force those are engaged in house hold works,
agriculture works and following social responsibilities as taking care of in
laws, children etc. Naresh is an army man and fights the enemies in recent
battle. When he comes the villagers call him Brave soldier but he states that
his wife is real brave soldier.
The story takes the readers to battle
field where soldiers fight for their countries without caring for their lives.
The story writer also takes the readers to agro fields where women force act as
soldiers. The narration is in dialogues form and ends in dialogues. The story depicts the life of a
soldier and the life of his family in village.
