   Police and Patwaris caught congress Workers engaged or following Quit India Movement on Lainnsdowne, Pauri , Joshimath –Kotdwara roads on 9^th and 10^th August 1942 .

 It was not possible for police capturing Congress workers working in remote rural areas. There were demolition of government assets activities in various places of India by quit India Movement activists . News was reaching in Garhwal too. Pamphlets of  ordering workers for  demolishing government assets were being distributed among freedom activists. Government dispatched warrants for captring Congress workers in rural areas too. Chhavan Singh Negi and Jagmohan Singh Negi went underground for escaping police custody .Jagmohan Singh Negi was not keeping well but offering funds to his fellowmen. There was underground Quit India Movement in Udaipur , Langur , Sheela Dhangu , Dabralsyun, Ajmer  patti . Leaders sued to meet and spread the news among citizens silently without organizing meetings.
