.
However, Chamu Bhandari was not ready for surrendering his struggle. Chamu Bhandari struggled for whole night for capturing Sitoldhar hill. British army officers and their Indian soldiers were also not ready for leaving captured Sitoldhar.   British army failed three attacks by Gurkha soldiers. Brawny and Mohan Singh exhibited unbelievable bravery. British renamed Sitolidhar as Brawny Hill. Nicholas offered a Sword sent by Hastings for the bravest most soldiers. British Commanders offered an Appreciating Certificate to Mohan Singh (Preamble).
As per Gurkha records, British army lost a lieutenant and 98 sepoys in attack by Chamu Bhandari.  Gurkha officers Jabar Adhikari and Mastram Thapa were killed in the battle of Sitoldhar at night. After L.C Gardnwer came on scene, Sardar Ransur Karki , a couple of Jamadar and 25 Gurkha soldiers lost their lives.  Bamshah sent a troop under Jasmadan Thapa for helping Chamu Bhandari but they ran away in between.  In morning, Chamy Bhadari and his soliders had to go away from Sitoldhar.
