Negi Shows Concern Over Corruption in Sports in ‘Kathga Khailya’ Poem

In last stanza of Garhwali language poem ‘Kathga Khailya’ , Narendra Negi shows is concern over corruption in sports.
Negi depicts the stanza”
Rashtrmandal khel 2 jee ghotala
Ghotala re ghotala toojee ghotala
Rashtrmandal khel 2 jee ghotala
Arbon-kharbon mal lagaiyali chhala ….
The stanza means that in the scams of Commonwealth games held in Delhi in 2010 and 2 G scandal by DMk ministers A Raja and Daya Maran, the corrupt ministers and concern authorities milked billion and trillions through corrupt methodologies.
Sport is very big phenomenon in today’s life. There are many dimensions related to sports including people’s emotion attached to sports.
Besides worrying over declines in sports value , each country is also facing the challenges of to deal increasing corruption in sports .
There are innumerous issues of corruption in sports
A few issues are :

2-Racism and caste factors in sports
3-Corruption in sport projects.
4- Corruption in venue selection
5-Corruption in providing various rights to out side agencies as Television rights
6-Corruption in offering sponsorship to brands

10- Lack of democracy in sports federation

14-Attracting organized criminals and crimes in sports

Bangladesh is 44th in corruption position
Theatre groups as People’s Theatre group of Nalitabari, Muktagacha theatre group have been busy in staging plays related to corruption to participate their contribution against corruption. The corruption is not the national or political problem but a human problem
Shariful Islam (2010) published a remarkable book . ‘Politics –Corruption Nexus in Bangladesh’ . Islam shows the reasons for corruption in Bangladesh and simultaneously suggest the government to take holistic approach to tackle the issue of corruption.
Humayun Azad (1947-2004) is still an idol for Bangladeshi intellectuals to raise the voice against corruption. Humayn Azad wrote tens of columns, poems against social and political injustice, hypocrisy and corruption in Bangladesh

Bhishma Kukreti did same experiment to personify the corruption in a couple of satirical articles against corruption published in Garh Aina (a Garhwali (Indian) language daily paper being published in nineties from Dehradun, India. Puran Pant another prominent Garhwali (Indian) language satirist also personify corruption in his satirical poetries published in Garhwali Dhai (a weekly is being published from Dehradun, India) .
If the readers read the Garhwali (Indian) poem “Kathgai Khailya’ , Narendra Singh Negi tries to personify corruption in different style. He made corruption or bribe as eatables-- pudding, rice etc.
