The lines ‘ bas kar ab bindi na sapod, ab kathga ji khailau re’ of lyric ‘Kathga Khailya Re’ of music album by famous Indian singer Narendra Singh Negi is not only about the corruption only but the poems also forces the sensible literature critics to find out the psychological reasons behind the corruption and bribery.
The individuals, group or society including politician indulge in corruption due to one or many psychological compulsions.
The psychology is the creation of response-reactions due to stimulus in mind.
Corruption or bribery is due to certain stimuli cause patterns of behaviour to be expresses as developed reactions.
The starting point of psychology behind corruption is to prevail over someone is advantageous. This advantageous gain over another is the root cause of corruption. Monopolizing the materials or power is nothing but gaining advantages over somebody. Winning desire is nothing but gaining advantages over others. Desire of winning compels the mind to go for corruption.
Positive reinforcement is another cause of corruption. The acquisition of power and then repeatedly desiring power compel the mind for corruption to get power.
Rewards of power or rewards of advantages are the agents of corruption.
Not wanting other person/persons same advantages is nothing but jealousy. Therefore jealousy also creates paths of corruption.
Domination is desire. Desire for prevailing against others /other is domination. That is why psychologists state that DOMINATION Desire is the real root cause of corruption. Other corruption emerge from the corruption caused by desire to DOMINATE and those corruptions are interdependent with each other.
C V Magavilla explains states that the corruption is a result of human conciliation against others interests and the need of self is adjusted even at the cost of others.
Literature on Corruption in Senegal
Senegal’s position is on 70th in corruption list from top \
Lenrie Peters (1932-2009) is not Senegal citizen but was considered as mirror of Africa. Linrie wrote many poems past slavery in Africa about African corruption. He created in imagery style very well.
Osundare published six volumes of poetry and his themes of poems dominated social and political corruption .
One point is also valid that rich countries divided world as developed and under developed , This nothing but dividing human as they divided black and white. Great poet Aime Cesaire addresses the lies of western rich countries as
Prospero, you are the master of illusion
Lying is your trademark
And you have lied so much to me
that you have ended by imposing on me
an image of myself
Underdeveloped , you brand me, inferior
That is the way you forced me to see myself
I detest that image ! What is more that it’s a lie

“ Death of Corruption
It was Monday morning, and Sara and I were cremated at the back of the packed Cathedral of Holy Hypocrisy…
…….‘And now , as we come to the end of this funeral service , I ask you all to join the choir in Hymn no 666, , to Corruption I surrender sung to the tune of jesus I surrender
To Corruption I surrender ,
All from Him I freely I take;
I will ever love and trust Him
I am always on the make …..
To corruption I surrender
Give me money, wholly mine
Let me feel the Holy dollar
Never know it is crime…….”
