आशा और निराशा के बीच
झूलते-डूबते-उतराते
घोर निराशा के क्षण में भी
अविरल भाव से लक्ष्य प्राप्ति हेतु
आशावान बने रहना बहुत मुश्किल
पर नामुमकिन नही
होता है इसका अहसास
सफलता की सीढ़ी-दर-सीढ़ी

चढ़ने के उपरांत
चिर प्रतीक्षा चिर संघर्ष के बाद
मिलने वाली हर ख़ुशी बेजोड़ व अनमोल है
क्योंकि इसकी सुखद अनुभूति
वही महसूस कर सकता हैजिसने
हर हाल में रहकर अपना सघर्ष जारी रखकर
कोशिश की सबको साथ लेकर
निरंतर बने रहने की

कभी भाग्य के भरोसे नहीं बैठे
लगे रहे कर्म अपना मानकर
और सफलता के मुकाम पर पहुचे
सगर्व, सम्मान
तभी तो कहा जाता है
आदमी अपने भाग्य से नहीं
अपने कर्म से महान होता है
छोटी-छोटी लड़ाईयां जीतने के बाद ही
कोई बड़ी जंग जीतता है

हंसमुख चेहरा

कुछ शर्माती कुछ सकुचाती
जब आती बाहर वो नहाकर
मन ही मन कुछ कहती वो
बिखरे बालों को सुलझाकर

झट-झट झटकार कर वो
बूंदे गिरती बालों से पल-पल
दिखती वो बूंदे यूँ मुझको
ज्यों झर-झर झरता झरने का जल

तिरछी नजर घुमाती वो
होंठों पर हल्की मुस्कान लिए हुए
कभी एकटक होकर निहारती वो
बिना पलकों को झपकाए हुए

'हंसमुख चेहरा' दिखता उसका
वो सूरत दिखती भली-भली
कभी दिखती खिली पुष्प सी
कभी दिखती अधखिली कली

महकता पुष्प सा यौवन उसका
नाजुक कली सी उसकी सुकोमल गात
वो बसंत की झकझोर डाली
जिसके दिखते हरे-भरे पात

जगदेई की कोलिण

जैन्कु असली नौं क्या थौ, क्वी नि जाणदु,
कोसी अर् रामगंगा का, बीच कू इलाकु,
जख गोर्ख्यौन अत्याचार करिन,
वींकी बहादुरी की बात, आज भी माणदु.

जल्लाद गोर्ख्याणि जब, काळी कुमौं मा,
सल्ट की बस्तियौं मा ऐन,
लोग उन अत्याचार करिक,
तड़फैन अर् सतैन.

दूधि पेंदा छ्व्ट्टा बच्चा, जल्लाद गोर्ख्यौन,
ऊख्ल्यारा कूटिन, लोगु की सम्पति लूटिन,
ज्वान नौना नौनी ऊन, दास दासी बणैन,
कुछ बेचि थूचिन, कुछ नेपाल ल्हिगिन.

जगदेई की कोलिण कामळी बुणदि थै,
ऊंका खातिर, जू गोर्ख्यौ की डौर कु,
लुक्यां था लखि बखि बणु मा,
जान बचौण का खातिर, कोल्यूं सारी,
जगदेई का नजिक, सल्ट क्षेत्र मा.

जगदेई की कोलिण,
जलख अर् जमणी का बीच,
अपणी झोपड़ी का ऐंच,
एक ऊंचि धार मा गै,
बदनगढ का पार, हो हल्ला सुणिक,
सल्ट जथैं उठदु धुवाँ देखिक,
ग्वर्ख्या आगीं-ग्वर्ख्या आगीं,
जोर-जोर करिक भटै.

कोलिण कू भटेणु सुणिक,
द्वी जल्लाद गोरख्या सिपै,
झट्ट वख मू ऐन,
कोलिण का कंदुड़,
नाक अर् स्तन काटिक,
अपणी राक्षसी प्रवृति का,
क्रूर कर्म दिखैन.

कोलिण का प्राण, पोथ्लु सी ऊड़िगैन,
जल्लाद गोरख्या सिपैयौन,
कोलिण की लाश, झोपड़ी भीतर धोळि,
झोपड़ी फर आग लगाई,
उत्तराखंड की महान वीरांगना,
"जगदेई की कोलिण",
राखु बणिक ऊठ्दा धुवां मा समाई.

सत्-सत् नमन त्वैकु, जगदेई की कोलिण,
तू थै उत्तराखंड की शान,
याद रख्लि जुग-जुग तक,
उत्तराखंड की धरती अर् लोग,
तेरु महान बलिदान.

A famous weekly published from Kotdwara, Pauri Garhwali , Shailvani publishes an annual special issue every year. The weekly dedicated this year issue to “ Developmental issues of Uttarakhand” . (This article is devoted to Shrimati Sarju Devi Thapliyal Bahuguna wife of A B Bhauhguan . She had been the pillar as solid support and inspirational source for his becoming Abodh Bandhu Bahuguna --the the sun of Garhwali literature. The author was fortunate to to get her inspiring company for two days in Mumbai and one day in Delhi)
To write about Abodh bandhu Bahuguna is not easy in short. He has written so much in Garhwali that Hemwati Nanadan Bahuguna Garhwal University published a tribute of 128 pages to describe great Garhwali language creative and the author can say that 128 pages are still lacking to detailing him .

Abodh Bandhu Bahuguna was born on 15th June 1927 in Jhala village of Chalaansyun , Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand . His father’s name was Khimanand and mother’s name was bindra Devi Thapliyal Bahuguan . His wife Sarju Devi is the daughter of famous pundit Bhaj Ram Nutiyal of Sumadi . He expired in 2004 in Janakpuri, New Delhi, leaving behind his wife, his son Ardhendhu , three married daughters and grand children
He got his high school and secondary education from Pauri city- Garhwal, passed graduation and passed M.A in two subjects ( Hindi and Political Science ) from Nagpur University.

Nand Kishor Nautiyal

Most of the Uttrakhandis of Mumbai and elsewhere think that Nand Kishor Nautiyal has worked with Blitz only and his life was very easy. However, Nand Kishor Nautiyal passed through many ups and down before becoming editor of Hindi Blitz and chairman of Badrinath Kedarnath Mandir Samiti . Presently he is chairman of hindi academy Maharashtra government and publishes a weekly Nutan Savera. He also supported late H N Bahuguna in his political convention of Congress For Democracy in Mumabi
He was born in 1931, in Masan, Patti-Sitaunsyun, Pauri Garhwal.
He came to Mumbai in 1950 and joined Lokmanya a Hindi daily as sub editor. He was transferred to Nagpur as deputy editor of a Hindi daily Lokamat a sister concern of Lokmanya .
The lifestyle of Nagpur did not attract young Nand Kishor and in 1951, Nautiyal joined the editorial board of Sarita a Hindi monthly magazine. The management of Delhi Publishing House (Sarita , Champak, etc) is always different and its style of working is very different than other publications in India. Young Nautiyal left journalist profession and joined trade union movement in Delhi around 1951-52
In Delhi, he became editor of “Parvtiya Jan” and Himalaya Times
In Delhi only, Nad Kishor took the editorial responsibilities of news letters of A I T U C and Majdor Neta
He reentered in journalism proffesion in 1960 when he joined ‘Nayoi Kahaniyan’ and later on joined ‘Hindi Times as sub editor.
In 1962, he came back to Mumbai and joined Hindi weekly Blitz and in 1973, he became editor of the said weekly .
When Karanjiya stopped Blitz publication nautical started his own weekly by Nutan Savera
He was an active member of Garhwal Bhratri Mandal (an oldest social organization) . He participates enthusiastically Uttrakhandi social activities in Mumbai , he is always straightforward in putting his thought and does not believe in mincing the words.
