        ‘Mayali Bhaun’ is first Garhwali lyric collection by multitalented creative Yatendra Gaur . There are 51 Lyric poems in ‘Mayali Bhaun’.  Before publishing Garhwali lyric collection, Yatendra Gaur already released a audio cassette ‘

                The present lyric collection has varieties of lyrics as spiritual poems as Sarswati Vandan, Mahabgarh prayer; praise for Garhwal (Garhbhumi, Hamaru Garhwal, Meru Himwant, Malni ); love and pain ( Khairi ye man ki, Smalaun ); geographical and seasonal images (Malnai, Dandyun Baugadi Thandi hava, Barkyalu Chaumas); patriotic or chivalry poems (Ajadi garh Sipai, ); women issues ( Padu ki bala Shakuntala); satire and other burning issues in Garhwal and India.  

        There mostly all raptures as love, pathos, chivalry, surprise, humor, spirituality, children love etc. 

     Yatendra uses conventional symbols and figures of speeches but don’t avoid using new symbols for creating images. Yatendra Gaur uses mixed Garhwali having English, Urdu and Hindi words in his verses. His dialects are of Ajmer- Dhangu (Ganga Salan) dialects but easily understandable by all. 

  There are various types of Chand in the lyrics and are melodious. 

The critics as Dr N.K. Dhoundiyal and Dr. Jagdamba Kotnala, great singer  Narendra Singh Negi, Gazal maker Jagmohan Bisht and readers appreciated lyrics and efforts by Yatendra Gaur.

        Yatendra Gaur is famous lyricist of Garhwali language.

         Yatendra Gaur was born on 27^th April 1967 in Biachhal Simal, Kandakhal region, Ajmir of Pauri Garhwal.

  Yatendra Gaur is post graduate in English and Economics subjects. Yatendra has taken formal training (diplomas) in music and singing (Sangeet Prabhakar, Gayan, Tabla playing) . By profession, Yatendra is educationist. 

      Yatendra Gaur released his Garhwali album ‘Barkhyalun Chaumas’ that offered him tremendous fame and name in Garhwali music world. 

   Yatendra creates melodious Garhwali lyrics and has been relaying lyrics through All India Radio and Doordarshan too. Yatendra Gaur has been publishing his melodious poems in various periodicals.

         Yatendra Gaur published his 51 lyrics collection ‘ Mayali Bhaun’ in 2012.

  Learned scholars, as Dr. N.K Dhoundiyal, Dr Kotnala, Madan Duklan, great Indian folk singer Narendra Singh Negi , Gazal maker Jagmohan Bisht appreciated lyrics by Yatendra Gaur.

 Yatendra Gaur created lyrics on various subjects and he created lyrics in various Chhand (tones, rhyme styles). 

 Yatendra Gaur uses conventional phrases, figures of speech and symbols for creating images. 

Yatendra Gaur uses standard Garhwali with Ajmir –Dhangu (Ganga Salan, South Garhwal) dialects for his lyrics.

छैलू -पाणी मिलि नि मिली , अगनै बाटु छोड़ि  ना 

कबि त आली ऋतु बसंत।  मन कि आस छोड़ि  ना। 

काळी रात अंद्यरु बाटु , द्यू बत्ती लेकि हाथ 

सारू दगड्या क्वी नि होलू , तू जग्वाळ कैरि ना 

 कबि त आली ऋतु बसंत।  मन कि आस छोड़ि  ना। 

अपणा बारा अपणु बाना बकि कबि नि जाण 

अब त आस त्वैमा लग्युं , हम खुणि मुख मोडि ना 

 कबि त आली ऋतु बसंत।  मन कि आस छोड़ि  ना। 

  मौळयार बयार आलि , फूल खिलला रंगी रंगीला 

छैल छबीली दुन्या होली , तू यनु मा बिरड़ि ना

गात वळा काम कारला 

बिना गात वळा पछताला रै। 

खुट्टों वळा त हिटिक जला 

बिना खुटों का त रकर्याला रै

 Traill offered rights for land sales to Hissedar (owner/proprietors) (Atkinson). The right for land sales was not in Garhwal Kingdom or Gorkha regime. Dabral mentions that in Narendra Shah Rule in Tehri Kingdom, there was no right for land sales to owners (Asami).

 There were no rights for Khaykar for land sales in British rule too. However, Khaykar could pledge their land. By pledging system, Khaykar could sell the land (Stowell, page 3).

  Khaykar means the cultivators of the land for generation. The owners of such land were Hissedar. Khaykar used to offer tax (grains etc) to Hissedar. Till Khaykar was offering tax, Hissedar did not interfere on the right of land. In case, a Khaykar became unable for paying tax to Hissedar, Hissedar had right for dismissing Khaykar from the land.

           गढ़वाली नवाड़ी कवि धर्मेंद्र नेगी जीन धाद (धरमधाद ना निथर भाजपाइयूँन चिढ जाण ) दे बल हंसण -खिलण अर वक्रोक्ति का विशेषज्ञ श्री हरीश जुयाल अचकाल मेडिटेसन मा फंस्यां छन।  मि तैं विश्वास नि ह्वे कि म्यार मित्र सांसारिक प्रेमी जुयाल कबि धयन सरीखा कुसाज माँ बि फँसल ! जी हाँ लालू यादव से ब्रह्मचर्य की उम्मीद , राहुल गांधी से तर्कसंगत भाषण की उम्मीद अर हरीश जुयाल से संतनुमा ध्यानग्रस्त आचरण   की उम्मीद इनि च जन पाकिस्तान से सीमा पर चुप बैठणो उम्मीद।  हरीश अर मि खाँद -पींद घौराक जि छंवां -बिना पैग का सींद नि छंवां अर हम दुयुंक हफ्ता मा तीन दैं बगैर शिकार खयाँ पेट खुल्दु नी च।  

 शनिवारौ रात ग्यारा बजि मि तैं धर्मेंद्र नेगी जी से सूचना मील अर मि तै रात भर नींद नि ऐ।  आण बि कनै छे ? शेरनी  वेजिटेरियन ह्वे जावो तो शेर शावक अर शेर की नींद हराम हूण मामूली बात च। रात भर उठा पोड़ी -संसय का कारण। 

सुबेर चार बजी मीन स्वाच की हरीश जुयाल तै फोन कर द्यूँ पण अपण घरवळी  डौरन फोन निकौर।  वीं तै अनावश्यक शक ह्वे जांद कि मि अपण सेक्रेटरी दगड़ बचळयाणु छौं। 

कनि कौरिक मि  मुख मा चदुर लपेटिक पड़्युं रौं।  सुबेर सात बजि मीन हरीसौ कुण फोन घुमै। 

"हेलो  हेलो !  मि भीषम   बुलणु छौं। "

" मि हरीसै ब्वे बुलणु छौं।  अबि हरीश कैक दगड बात नि कौर सकुद।  वु अबि बिज  तो नीट लगाणम व्यस्त च।  कुछ समौ परांत फोन कर्यां " अर हरीसै मांजीन फोन धौर दे। 

मैं पर रंगतन्गी फैली गे कि हरीश पींद  त छौ पण सुबेर सुबेर कबि नि पींद छौ अर फिर सुबेर सुबेर नीट ? 

एकाद घँटा परांत मीन फिर फोन घुमाइ त उत्तर आयी ," मि  हरिसौ पिता बुलणु छौं।  अबि हरीश कॉकटेल पीणु च। "

मीन घँघडै  पूछ , " सुबेर सुबेर कॉकटेल ? क्यांक ?"

उत्तर छौ , " सड़यां   ग्यूं , जौ अर क्वादो कॉकटेल। पैथर फोन लगैन अबि 'स्ट्रेटअप' कॉकटेल च पैट बाद मा 'मिस्ट'  " अर हरीसौ पिताजीन फोन काटी दे। 

 सड़यां  ग्यूं , जौ अर क्वादो कॉकटेल ! सोचिक इ म्यार पुटुकुंद मरोड़ पड़ि गे। ग्यूं , जौ अर क्वादो कॉकटेल मेरी  पियिं च अरे ईं शराब पीक तो आंत छिजै जांदन । धर्मेंद्र नेगी बुलणा छन कि हरीश जी मेडिटेसन मा व्यस्त छन अर हरीश जी ग्यूं , जौ अर क्वादो कॉकटेल पीणम मदमस्त छन। अर 'स्ट्रेट अप' याने कॉकटेल बगैर बरफ का अर 'मिस्ट अप' याने कॉकटेल तै क्रस्ड बरफ मा  डाळिक पीण। 

   

 द्वी घँटा पैथर मीन फिर फोन कार त सीधा जबाब आयी , " मि श्रीमती जुयाल बुलणु छौं।  अबि यि बिट्टर शौट लगाणा छन तो तीनेक  घँटा बाद इ  फोन लगैन।  बिट्टर शौट का बाद ऊँ तै हैंगओवर ह्वे जांद अर तब इ हैंगओवर उतारणो बान लाइम अर मैंगो चटनी चटदन। " मिसेज जुयालन  बगैर कुछ सुण्यां फोन धर दे। 

 मि आज ना तो  झाड़ा ग्यों , ना दांत साफ़ करीन अर ना इ मि नयायी।  मैं लग हरीश  बड़ो अल्कोहोलिक ह्वे गे तबि धर्मेंद्र जीन यांको नाम मेडिटेसन दे दे जांसे  हरीश जुयाल की बदनामी नि हो। 

तीनेक घँटा बाद मीन फोन कार तो उत्तर ऐ , " काल रिकॉर्डिंग मैं हरीश जुयाल बोल रहा हूँ।  कुछ समय के लिए मैं ' ऑन द रॉक पीने जा रहा हूँ।  फिर मैं सौर (sour ) के साथ कॉकटेल पीऊंगा।  कृपया शाम छै के बाद ही सम्पर्क कीजियेगा। "

स्याम दै मीन सात बजे फोन कार तो फोन पर हरीश जुयाल आयी , "शुभ सन्ध्या श्रीमान कुकरेती श्री।  आपका जीवन असफल हो।  कहिये मुझ किंचन के लिए क्या आदेश है ?

हरीश की बात मा दरोड्या पन कुछ बि नि छौ।  बड़ी शालीनता छे।  जु बिजण से लेकि दुफरा तक बनि बनिक दारु पीणु हो वो इथगा शालीनता से छ्वीं लगाणु छौ। 

मीन पूछ , " धर्मेंद्र जीन फेसबुक मा धाद दे बल  तुम अचकाल मेडिटेसन मा फंस्यां   छंवां ?"

"फंस्यूं ना मेडिटेसन मा लीन छौं। " हरीशन शान्ति से उत्तर दे। 

" क्या  यू ध्यान बाममार्गी ध्यान च ? अघोरी माफक ध्यान ?" मीन पूछ 

हरेस को जबाब छौ , " नही श्रधेय मित्र ! म्यार ध्यान ना तो बाममार्गी या अघोरी च अपितु केवल ध्यान च। " 

मीन पूछ , " तो फिर यु सुबेर बिटेन पीण ? इन शराब पीणो कु ध्यान च भै ?"

"जेष्ठ  भ्राता सम कुकरेती श्री ! कैन बोलि कि ध्यान मा द्रव्य पीण मना च ?" हरीश जुयाल को उत्तर छौ। 

" द्रव पीण ?" म्यार प्रश्न छौ 

"आज रविवार छौ तो म्यार भोजन केवल द्रव पीण छौ " हरीश कु उत्तर छौ। 

"अरे पर यु क्या ?" मीन पूछ। 

" कु क्या ? फिर से उत्तर ना अपितु प्रश्न छौ 

"नीट , कॉकटेल , स्ट्रेट अप , मिस्ट , ऑन द रॉक ,  , बिट्टर शौट , हैंगओवर ?" म्यार प्रश्न छया। 

   हरीश को उत्तर छौ , " आदरणीय जेष्ठ  मित्र ! नीट याने केवल जल , सड़यां   ग्यूं , जौ अर क्वादो कॉकटेल याने यूँ भिगयां  अनाजौ जल  को मिश्रण अर स्ट्रेटअप मने बगैर बरफ का अर मिस्ट याने अनाज जल मिश्रण याने कॉकटेल तै बरफ म डाळिक पीण। "

" अर ऑन द रॉक ?" मीन पूछ। 

जुयालन बिंगै ," हमर बगल मा एक बड़ो पौड़ च।  मि वै मा ध्यान करदो अर कॉकटेल आदि पान करुद।  तो ध्यान , खान -पान का नाम ऑन द रॉक धर्यूं च।  "

मीन शंका समाधान चाहि , " अर बिट्टर शॉट , हैंगओवर ?"

हरीश को जबाब छौ , " बिट्टर शॉट ! याने करेला का रस छुटि गिलसड़ी से रक़दम घुळण अर फिर करेला  रस का हैंगओवर मिटाणो    बान मि लाइम अर मैंगो चटनी चटदु।  वेरी सिम्पल सर जी "

मीन ब्वाल , " तो  सचमुच मा   ध्यानवत्त ?"

" क्षमा जेठ जी ! मि श्रीमती हरीश जुयाल बुलणु छौं।  जब  से यूंन मेडिटेसन शुरू कार , तब से सारा परिवार सुखी ह्वे गे।  सुबेर श्याम गायत्री जाप अर हर्बल ड्रिंक ! अब हमर जीवन प्रसन्नचित च " श्रीमती हरीश फोन पर ऐन। 

मीन पूछ , " वधाई हो कि हमर मित्र ध्यानमय ह्वे गेन पर  या दरोड्यो की शब्दावली किलै याने अल्कोहलिक वोकेब्लरी किलै ? "

    " ओल्ड हैबिट्स डाई हार्ड।  पुराणी आदत जल्दी खतम नि होंदिन।  तो अबि बि अल्कोहलिक वोकेब्लरी च।  कृपया क्षमा कर्यां।  हमर मील को टाइम ह्वे गे तो aperitifs को टाइम ह्वे गे।  हम सब एक साथ हर्बल  अपेरिटिफ्स पींदा। " मिसेज जुयालौ आन्सर छौ

ये निर्दयी मनखी तू हंसदू मैं रोंदू ,

सबकी जिंदगी मा खुशी ऐन 

हंसदन पहाड़ पर्वत , डांडी -काँठी 

सब्बी दिवाळा जग्गी गैन 

देळी -देळी मा 

तुमन कबारी  आण बौड़ी घौर मा 

नया नया डाळो मा घोल छन पोथळी का 

बार त्यौहार पंगत पर ऐन गैन 

नै साल भी आई गै 

बैठीयूँ छौं बाटा देखण मा 

तुमन कबारी  आण बौड़ी घौर मा 

भरी गै मन मेरू , लुटी गै सभी आस मेरी 

फुलेगिन सभी सपना मेरा 

मैं बाटू देखी -देखिक थकी गयूं 

तुम भि सुखि न जयां मेरी आंख्यूं 

तुम फुटि न जयां मेरी आंख्यूं 

तुम्मा लुकीं छ तौंकी निशाणी।
